Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
The Broads SLT is built on a simple belief: support should feel personal, meaningful and made for you.
As a small, one‑person practice, everything I offer is shaped with care, curiosity and a genuine wish to understand you — your story, your strengths, and the places that make up your everyday life.
Working closely with families, health professionals, schools, colleges, employers, and day centres (and more!) is central to how I work. When everyone is connected, your care becomes smoother, clearer and more consistent — and that’s where real progress happens.
If you need support with communication or with eating, drinking and swallowing, I’d love to hear from you. I offer free consultations so we can explore your options together, and you’re always welcome to get back in touch whenever the time feels right.
About Bethany
Hi!
I'm Bethany and I’ve been working as a Speech and Language Therapist since 2019, after qualifying in sunny Plymouth at The University of St Mark and St John (now going by 'Marjon').
Since then, I’ve supported children, teens, and adults with a wide range of communication needs, eating, drinking and swallowing needs, learning disabilities, mental health illness, physical disabilities and progressive conditions.
I’ve also delivered training across different settings and contributed to multidisciplinary support in several sectors.
My experience spans the NHS, the charity sector, schools, and within private organisations. Working within these spaces has taught me so much — but it’s also shown me how hard it can be to practise in a way that feels truly authentic, creative, and person‑centred when you’re working within someone else’s system.
Time spent with families, building rapport, understanding their world, is not just “nice to have”; it’s the foundation of meaningful, sustainable progress. That is why The Broads SLT exists.
My aim is to offer a service that feels accessible, warm, and rooted in our local community — a place where communication and eating, drinking and swallowing support is collaborative, empowering, and genuinely responsive to the people who need it. Every assessment, session, and training conversation is shaped by person‑centred values, blending evidence‑based practice with compassion, curiosity, and creativity.
